digi cam & hdr

some requirements i had for a digi cam were that it should be:

-around 5-6 MP

-10X – 12X optical zoom ( not digital.. digital just zooms the existing image.. not of much use)

-image stabilisation

-provison for both automatic and manual settings

-low shot-to-shot time

-low image noise

2 cams that met the requirements were the canon powershot s3 (arnd $440) and the sony cybershot dsc-h2 (arnd $360)..(canon stands numero uno and sony at #2 in terms of digicam sales. The Panasonic DMC-FZ7 was out of the competition because of its image noise problesm) upon further research i figured out that there wasnt much of a diff between canon and sony other than that of the $100 price diff.. so i thought of settling with the sony cybershot dsc-h2…

HDR stand for high dynamic range. Its a technique used to modify a photograph using a particular algorithm. The intention of HDR imaging is to accurately represent the wide range of intensity levels found in real scenes ranging from direct sunlight to the deepest shadows. Photomatix is one software that does this. Better than me talking about check out some awesome photos that have been modified using HDR..

PS : i havent bought the digi cam yet..hee he… but hope to buy it soon… šŸ˜‰
